About Me

Peter Theiss, MD, is a neurosurgeon who specializes in vascular neurosurgery, which is the treatment of blood vessel diseases in the brain and spinal cord. This includes treatment of stroke, brain aneurysms, cerebral and spinal vascular malformations, and related problems. Dr. Theiss is trained in traditional surgical treatment for these disorders, as well as endovascular neurosurgery, which comprises minimally invasive treatments performed from within the blood vessels.

Dr. Theiss earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Languages and Literatures from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire. He then received his medical degree from Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York, New York. Dr. Theiss completed his neurosurgery residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He went on to receive fellowship training in endovascular neurosurgery from the same university.

Dr. Theiss grew up in Chicago, Illinois, but is happy to begin practicing in North Texas. Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time outdoors by hiking or golfing.
